I had so much fun planning this surprise Smoky Mountain proposal with Les on Foothills Parkway. He wanted to make it unforgettable with a Marry Me sign and electric candles placed in a heart shape. Unfortunately we had to leave out the fake rose petals to be thoughtful to mother nature, but the set up turned out perfect. It captured a lot of attention!
You know a couple has trust when the bride-to-be closes her eyes to arrive at the destination. Foothills Parkway is a winding mountain road, so thankfully he didn’t make her keep them closed the whole way.
Without a doubt the sweetest part is that Les had written a speech on a napkin … that immediately became a handkerchief.
And just so you know, if you’re planning a surprise proposal and book me, I will end up crying with you.
After Les proposed, we continued down Foothills Parkway to take advantage of more of its key features. In addition to gorgeous mountain views, it has a cool stone wall. After that, we made our way to Metcalf Bottoms to take advantage of the woods and river. Watching Les and Taylor play in the river was so fun, especially after they splashed each other. After splashing, once again the trust came in as Les came to kiss Taylor and she trusted him not to keep splashing her.
I can’t get over the sweetness of this shoot! Congratulations Les and Taylor!
